Road Apple

DAILY SNACK

I was trying to make time on the highway,

When it appeared on the horizon like a beacon.

A giant red apple.

“Oh! Stop here!”

My husband, apparently, has read all about the Big Apple attraction recently built on the 401 east of Toronto.

So I pull in and we walk toward the giant red sphere.

We can see a couple people enter through a doorway.

“Oh, I get it,” Young C exclaims,

“The apple is for going into.”

So we did.

and did you buy a pie ??? The Big Apple is quite close to our old summer place on Rice Lake. We went in occasionally after the auction in Colborne … fond memories of being there with Poppa :)

  2. Cool. We were past there, too, on our road trip — about the same time as yours — and talked about stopping in there when K is a little older. For us it marks the almost-half-way point in our trip — 150k out.
