You can build a gingerbread house with your kid and donate to Habitat for Humanity, helping to build homes for families in need, at the same time.
Here’s how it works: you book a time slot at the Delta Chelsea this weekend and pay $50 per house you’d like to decorate (this includes the candy) and 100% of the money raised will go directly to Habitat for Humanity.
(Or you could spend $20+ on your own kit and deal with all the clean up at home and give nothing to charity. Sounds like a no-brainer, no?)
They are accepting bookings until Friday at 2pm, but will still accept walk-ins on the weekend if you don’t mind hanging around for a bit. All the details are here.
