Update: Congratulations to Pam for winning the 4 free tickets.
Disney on Ice is coming to town and this year’s theme is Princess Classics. I’ll be attending the opening show at the Rogers Centre on December 18th with my family (for free) and will write all about it in this space shortly after. Even though I tend to balk at anything “princess” I have enjoyed many a Disney animated feature in my time. I also like to revel in long abandoned dreams of becoming a pro-figure skater and big adventure trips downtown with the kids.
Oh, and guess what? SO WILL YOU! Well, one of you, anyway. I’ve got four more tickets to opening night to give away to one lucky family. Just leave a comment, any old comment — flattery is welcome but it won’t get you anywhere — on this post and I’ll draw a winner on Wednesday, December 9. Link to this giveaway on Twitter, Facebook, or your own blog and you get an extra entry. (Just mention that you did so in your comment.)
And … the extra cool awesome part is that Mom Central Canada on behalf of Disney on Ice is donating another four tickets to Interval House (a haven for abused women and children) to give one family something to look forward to this holiday season.
Oh, and on the off chance that you don’t win, you can still get to see the show for cheap. Tickets are regularly $65 each, but you can buy 4 tickets for $44 during the week (that’s $11 each), or get $4 off each ticket on the weekend by going to http://www.ticketmaster.ca/ and entering the code MCC into the “MC promotion” box when buying your ticket. (Service charges will apply.)
