House Shopping, Toronto Style

The next day we were back with a home inspector,

And then up all night deciding on our bid.

The offer was faxed in by 1pm Monday,

And we found out we beat nine other bidders by 3pm.

DAILY SNACK

On Friday morning I saw a new listing for a home in our area.

We looked at it on Saturday.

The next day we were back with a home inspector,

And then up all night deciding on our bid.

The offer was faxed in by 1pm Monday,

And we found out we beat nine other bidders by 3pm.

My head is reeling.

My gut is churning.

I am happy, this is good.

This is the steal of a lifetime, I’m sure.

But it has happened so fast and there is still so much left to sort out.

Then comes the work.

Thanks. It was crazy — way undervalued house, power of sale, neighbourhood we’ve been eying for years. We had to act fast.

Yup, that’s how it works. We bought our first place the same way. Sold it last year for way more and have our own mortgage way down as a result – it’s a good move you just made there, even if it feels nervy-making.

Thanks. I can’t hear that enough. I’m sure it’s a good move, but it was all so FAST.
