Movie Night! Featuring A Turtle’s Tale 2

Big thanks to Mom Central Canada and A Turtle’s Tale 2 for inspiring this great evening.

We invited some neighbours over for a screening of A Turtle’s Tale 2: Sammy’s Escape From Paradise and decided to make a party of it.

Ready.

Set.

Action!

It was raining so I had to prop up our welcome sign on the porch instead of on the walkway much to a certain boy’s dismay.

I love it when a potluck comes together. Everybody pitched in with a kid-friendly dish.

What a gang!

Now we’re talking.
The striped cups, by the way, were on clearance at the Winners checkout so I have no idea where you could get them for your party. Try Winners?

The cutest couch full of girls you’ve ever seen.

As much as the girls were having a blast, you should have seen the boys. They were absolutely rapt. This movie was beautifully animated with a classic rock soundtrack, friendly enough for the two and three-year-olds in attendance and also exciting enough for our Grade 1 grads.

But the best part?

That was when all the kids were sitting quietly in the next room and the grown ups got to enjoy a proper Indian take-out feast.

That’s what I call a party.

A Turtle’s Tale 2 will be in stores July 9, 2013. Check out the trailer:

Disclosure: I am participating in A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise Blogger Campaign by Mom Central Canada. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.
