Stuff I’m Digging: Seventh Generation (Giveaway)

Stuff I'm digging Seventh Generation

I’m not an eco-nut by any stretch. I live in a world constrained by budgets and time and the fragile limits of my sanity. So I do use paper plates for kiddie birthday parties and disposable plastic freezer bags, and I don’t make my own soap.

The good news is that I don’t have to make my own soap to do the right thing by mother nature. Seventh Generation makes plant-based, environmentally responsible cleaning products that are free from toxins and safe for your family. They’re the real deal, guys. You can trust these products.

The best part is that they really work. I’ve been using nothing but Seventh Generation laundry detergent for years and I love it. I also swear by their all-purpose cleaners and dish soaps. Their products are either scent-free or naturally scented with things like blue eucalyptus and lavender, or lemongrass and clementine.

I think most of us want to do whatever what we can for the earth as a whole and the environments where we live. The good news is that you don’t have to go full hippie to buy responsible products for your home.

But don’t take my word for it. Win your own stash of Seventh Gen products right here on this blog! I have one detox kit valued at $50 to giveaway. The kit includes:

  • Natural Automatic Dishwasher Gel – Free & Clear
  • Granite & Stone Cleaner – Mandarin Orange
  • Natural Laundry Stain Remover – – Free & Clear
  • Natural 2X Concentrated Laundry Detergent – Free & Clear
  • Natural Dish Liquid – Lemongrass & Clementine Zest
  • Cypress & Fir Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Contest ends Monday, August 11 at midnight. Canada only.

I love Seventh Generation. It works really well. (some all natural/good for the environment ones don’t!!)

We really dont use our dryer at all. In the summer it is great to hang the laundry on the line outside and when the weather turns cold then we use our drying racks

I’ve always been reluctant to try an enviro-friendly laundry detergent, for fear that it would never clean the clothing stains that my daughter creates daily. But if you say it works, I believe you!

I love diluted vinegar in a spray bottle to clean counters!

I use vinegar for so many things around the home…it works great as a fabric softener when added to the washing machine…mix it with baking soda and your tub will be clean in no time and with minimal effort…dilute it with water and use to wipe counters, and clean windows :)

For most cleaning just water works great or some vinegar added to the water

I use baking soda for cleaning when I can; as soon as the temperatures get above 0C the washing gets hung outside and always shower never bath

I like to use vinegar with a dash of lemon and dish soap mixed in water to clean floors and toys. It’s natural and it’s cheap.

I like Borax for cleaning toilets and surfaces that vinegar doesn’t quite get.

Vinegar around the bathtub will not only clean it right up, but it’ll keep mould from sprouting up.

I love to use water and Vinegar to clean, I use it to clean pots and pans and floors and cupboards, sometimes I add lavender and spritz it on the cupboards.

I also use a lot of vinegar and baking soda. One of the best ways of recycling old credit cards or hotel keys is to use them to clean baking pans. Works like a gem.

I use vinegar a lot. I recently cleaned my dishwasher with the help of some vinegar and wow, did it ever work!

use water and vinegar on windows and dry with newspapers( I use to clean house professionally and windows came out streak free) and recycle newspapers of course
